Long Island Job Fairs

A Long Island job fair is an in-person hiring event where multiple employers from across Nassau and Suffolk counties meet with job seekers to share information about open positions, accept résumés, and identify candidates for interviews and offers.

Yes, advance registration is recommended. It helps us manage capacity, keep you updated about any changes, and allows employers to preview résumés when possible. Walk-ins may be permitted if space allows, but spots can fill quickly.

There is no cost for job seekers to attend our Long Island job fairs. Admission is free—your investment is your time and preparation. Employers pay to exhibit.

• Multiple printed copies of your résumé
• A list of past employers, dates, and references (for applications)
• A notepad or phone for taking notes and saving contact information
• A simple “elevator pitch” about who you are and what you’re looking for

Dress in professional or sharp business-casual attire, similar to what you’d wear to an interview. First impressions matter, especially at in-person events.

Often, yes. Many employers conduct short screening interviews during the event. If there’s a good match, they may schedule a more in-depth interview for a later date—or in some cases, move quickly toward a hiring decision.

You’ll typically find employers from healthcare, education, technology, finance and insurance, construction and skilled trades, manufacturing, logistics, hospitality, retail, and business services—with roles ranging from entry-level to management.
